Rebekah Miles is a California-based ceramic artist whose work is rooted in a strong sense of place and personal history. Raised on her family’s avocado ranch outside Carpinteria, she draws on the landscapes of the California coast and Ojai Valley as a continual source of inspiration.

Miles constructs her pieces by hand using slabs, molds, and layered surface treatments, developing motifs from found imagery alongside her own patterns. Her process emphasizes color and composition, with each work unfolding over multiple firings. Approaching ceramics as contemporary heirlooms, Miles creates objects that balance narrative, utility, and a quiet sense of permanence. She holds a BA from Scripps College and an MFA from Portland State University.
